The old man and his god
 Reading Sudha Murty's writings has always been an enjoyable experience for me. She is one of the many women who inspire me. Her writing is very simple, honest and very straightforward. There are no frills or fancy words,but the content of her unforgettable stories always make the readers sit up and reflect.
This book is a collection of 25 stories, each showcasing the different facts of human nature as experienced by Sudha Murty in her interactions with people as chairperson of the Infosys foundation and her family and friends. The most unforgettable one for me was the story on 'Mother's Love'.
A must for all lovers of Sudha Murty's stories.

Book:Mahashweta Author:Sudha Murty  ' Mahashweta' is based on a very sensitive subject- Vitiligo. The story is poignant and expressed in a very simple language by Sudha Murty. In this story she clearly explains how insensetively our society behaves towards a person who is suffering from a Vitiligo,educated or not. Dr. Anand falls in love with the beautiful Anupama, when he sees her for the first time and soon marries her. Later Anand flies to England for higher studies leaving Anupama behind, telling her to join him later. Meanwhile Anupama is diagnosed with Vitiligo.
